Standards we follow
We design and test Focarly against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act.
Accessibility features
Focarly provides:
- Full keyboard navigation
- Screen reader compatibility (tested with VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA)
- Minimum 4.5:1 color contrast on text
- Alt text on informational images
- Captions on any video content
- Text resizing support
- Reduced motion support (respects prefers-reduced-motion)
- Clear labels on all form inputs
Ongoing effort
We continuously test and improve accessibility. We use:
- Automated testing (axe-core in CI/CD)
- Manual keyboard and screen reader testing
- User feedback
- Regular third-party audits
Known issues
Current known accessibility limitations (updated regularly):
- Voice features (Phase 2) may not yet be fully compatible with some screen readers
